James Cardnell’s passion for shooting has been around since before he could even walk, as he came from a family of shooters. He was introduced to firearms at a very early age and shot his first gun at the age of 8 when his father took him and his brother Tyler out to go shooting. He carefully started out with a 22LR and worked his way up to mastering several different calibers in various makes and models. This early experience only fueled his passion and respect for all things firearm. When James Cardnell finally turned fourteen his father took him to the local gun shows, and from that point on the firearm culture was part of his world . After gaining experience and knowledge his father rewarded him with his very own Ruger 10/22. He got it on his fifteenth birthday and to this day still owns it. His passion continued with his family harnessing his dream. He then learned survival skills and eventually became a member of the security team at several establishments in his home town. James then took his career further by working at a major hospital protecting it’s property, staff and patients. He would eventually go on to get his D (unarmed) and G (armed) license in security, in which he scored a 240 out of 240 on the firearm-training portion. He then progressed to working at Universal Studios in Orlando in a security position. Currently James works at Guns ‘N Ammo Unlimited progressing from part time and to becoming a full time staff member. His current job duties include, sales, an apprentice in gunsmithing, and an apprentice instructor under the watchful eye of Master Instructor Mark Villafane.
